The Politico is now reporting what all of us on the right have known for months: President Obama may be a slave to his Blackberry, but the piece of technology he never leaves home without is his teleprompter.
Of course, Obama’s trusty teleprompter highlights yet another irony in the string of them that makes up the present American political landscape.
If President Bush was the puppet of Dick Cheney, at least he was a puppet competent enough to rehearse and memorize his lines before giving an introduction or answering a press question. Now, we have President Obama who seems to be more cut out to be a puppet than his predecessor, given Obama’s penchant for reading from a script.
At first, that line “nobody messes with Joe” was just about the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Now that it’s a possibility that Biden is pulling Obama’s strings, the line is not only stupid, it’s downright scary.
