Obama’s Favorite Red State
Apparently, we now know President Obama’s favorite Red State. It’s Communist Cuba. Apparently, President Obama also is only in favor of free trade when the trading is with a nation advancing the theory that communes aren’t really all that bad. Who really knows what is the motivation behind this latest endorsement of communist and socialist policies? Perhaps Miami wasn’t far enough south (or communist) enough for Joe Biden and various heads of the UAW and AFL-CIO.
Meanwhile, one Red State that President Obama still doesn’t care about is Kentucky, which he lost by 17% points in his November race against John McCain. Interestingly, President Obama was, and continues to be, one of the more outspoken critics of President Bush’s handling of Hurricane Katrina, stating: “We must ensure that the failures of the past are never repeated…[.] My administration is committed to strengthening our preparedness, response and recovery efforts.” Yet, a month and a half after taking office, President Obama hasn’t bothered to even “fly-over” the state hardest hit by natural disaster this winter. Lexington radio talk show host, Leland Conway, continues the count into perpetuity, as needed, as the Bluegrass State awaits its presidential visit.
