Obama: Taking Passing the Buck to a New Art Form
President Obama continues to blame President Bush for the advancement of his socialist bank bailouts…although he now no longer blames him by name. His flawed logic on this issue continues to astonish anyone with more than 3 brain cells. Essentially, President Obama is saying that because he “inherited” a policy mistake, it justifies bigger, newer and more expansive versions of the same mistake.
Yes, President Bush screwed up by giving implicit endorsement of socialist principles with the first bank bailout. But President Obama is now the PRESIDENT, and one who ran on the notion that he could change things he didn’t like. The only reason he is sticking with these principles is because he actually believes in them. So, while calling it a mistake by President Bush to infuse capital into the system (a point on which President Obama is finally correct), he is furthering and enhancing that mistake by taking an implicit endorsement of socialist principles and adopting it in full.
Classic liberal cowardice. He has the gall to believe and advance policies that he knows are dangerous, radical and incapable of success, yet doesn’t even have the cajones to defend his own actions.
